    2008 Players to Watch

    Kids I have seen around the ball park this summer. Don't know of them, but have been impressed by:

    Leslie Hensley Cheraw, SC--Excellent pitcher, good movement, power hitter
    Christina Melton Hopewell--Good pitcher and power hitter
    Jessie Taylor Hopewell--Very fast outfielder, good slapper, hard to get out
    Janna Lewis Hopewell--Solid shortstop and consistent hitter, quick on bases
    Constance Orr Butler--Utility player, pitcher and great hitter
    Taylor McGee Northside--Great catcher and field presence and power hitter

    Bethany Wells outfielder/inf Central Cab this young lady is a great outfielder with a good arm but can also play the corners

    Christine Johnson: OF/Inf/pitcher Good bat, pitched good this summer in tough situations and played a solid rt field.

    Constance Orr: Butler HS mentioned in another post but D-1's are all over her already. Great hitter and can play anywhere as well as pitch.

    Kara Gordon: Florence SC infielder, great raw talent, SEC schools are fighting over this young lady!

    Emily Atkinson: Danville Va area, one of the true young catching talents in SE. Good size, strong arm, and good stick. hurt all summer but watch out for this kid, another D-1 prospect. The Va schools will have some fun recruiting this kid.:twocents:

    I am sure I have left off several names but if so forgive me. When U get old U forget things.

    Wouldn't you just like to take the whole bunch & play 1 tour together. That would be a loaded team !

    Glad to hear that Leslie Hensley,Christina Melton are doing great on the pitching mound. They are very sweet young ladies and always work hard at pitching practice with me.

    Taylor McGee ( catch) Outstanding catcher and a hard worker.

    Janna Lewis best all around player I have seen in a long time.

    Listen everybody TBR is for positive posting only! stop harassing certain players and parents and team's on TBR. Round about wording is just as hurtful as just coming out and really saying what you want to say. Everybody knows how to read between the line's. So please think about the kid's that may see this.

    Lady Blues 16 & Under "CONSOLIDATED TEAM" just formed with existing team...consist of the WFC State / WFC World Champs 14 & Under "GOLD" team...lots,lots, & lots of talent on this ball team, most kids only 14 & 15 years old, this will be the team to watch in 2007.... this team has (5) State Titles total under their belt..............Guru

    "Gold" Team?

    Why would the Blues have a 14U "GOLD" team, but not a 18U "GOLD" team?
    Or, is the 18U team a "GOLD" team, too? I know they're really, really good. I guess I don't understand the difference....can somebody please explain to me the terminology?
