Does he have a connection to ASU? Noticed he committed to them.

Wow....I am a bit surprised. I assume you mean App State and not Arizona State.

I understand Billingsley has decided to return to school...he's an outstanding SS with a great bat. This should be interesting

Thanks for clarifying Tigermom....that is quite an honor. Congratulations to Justin...wow...going from the mountains to the desert. I have heard nothing but outstanding praise about Justin's character. I wish him the best.

Forgot that might get confused. Sorry. Still would like to know the connection, if any. I believe his dad wasa professional baseball player. Maybe he knows, and likes the coaches. Of course Justin could just like the place too. Whatever the reason, congratulations to a young man who will probably have a fine career no matter the school.

I guess where he will be playing next spring will be determined by the draft. Nice to have ASU as a fall back position.

One of our local rising Juniors Zack Briggs (infielder Central Davidson) attended a camp at Stanford this summer at Stanford's invitation. So maybe the West coast schools are using the excitement of the long distance to recruit our area now.

Stanford has always recruited the Southeast. They also have one of the very best camps. But, what we know and they don't, is there are very, very few eastern boys going to go out to "earthquake zones"...ain't going to happen. I have personal experience with this.

Mr. Jackson (justin's father) is one of the nicest and most down to earth people I have ever met. This guy played in the bigs for several different years, as well as, in venezuela and asia. I sat and listened to this guy at a S. caldwell-ac reynolds talk about baseball and his career. I was awe struck with how matter of fact the game is to him. He saw things with each hitter that I have never even thought about. If Justin has his dad's knowledge to go along with his athletic ability he's gonna be on TV in a few years.
