    Either one

To be honest, to the college coaches it doesn't matter. Half the time they don't even know who is winning or what someones record is. They already know what team and players they are their to watch.

I am not saying don't play to win or try to win. I think if you read over my reply you will see that. My only point was I think too many of the coaches get too caught up in the wins and losses and forget why you are really in a showcase tournament. But I am done talking about this because so many of you don't understand.

I agree with Softball Nut...if a team isn't winning then it might appear that the organization is not doing its homework, and properly training in preparing these young women for college ball...winning is not everything, but it is a vital part of a kids confidence to become stronger and wiser in the game, and to produce to her fullest capacity. If I was a college coach ,I would be drawn to a team that is smacking the ball and scoring runs than a team that is being beat 9-0 or committing multiple errors.........just an opinion....:twocents:

    Blues

Blues won the Bracket where Flames are shown, we beat Flames on walk-off homerun by Allie Cashions in the bottom of the seventh with plenty of time left on the clock. We fought back from 4-1 deficit to win 5-4. Ken said scorekeeper had it wrong. It is a showcase and normally I say nothing but it is important to my young team to be reconized as winning.

You have a great team, two weeks earlier in Rock Hill the Flames battled back from a 4-1 score to win 5-4 in the bottom half of the last inning. I anticipate many well played games between these two teams.

So who did when that pool? They state they won the 18U division. Did they when the whole thing? This quote is straight from the Flames website.

    "Congratulations to the 18u Flames
    for their outstanding showing
in the SC Bandits Fall Showcase.

Flames finish 4-1 and win the
    highly competitive 18u divsion!

The Flames' stingy defense and big bats
(scoring 39 runs while only giving up 10 runs)
was too much for the rest of the field!"

    Wow

Did not mean to start a big deal! The Flames are a great club and we have had several great games with them. We were due for a comeback as Flames had done so against us. Since we beat them, I believe we would be the bracket winner but who cares anymore, just as I said wanted my young ladies to feel good about the tourney.

That was a good win. The NC Flames are always tough to beat.:229031_ha
