    I don't disagree at all with what you are saying, other than 11-14 yo are not playing showcase ball. There is no one for them to showcase to. But I agree with what you are saying about the younger ages.

    Locally, that's what I like about the On Deck programs and HQ4. They have professionals teaching the kids and developing them at an early age.

    I'm still a little confused (I know Braves, I'm a lot confused)....but Travel and Showcase are completely different animals. Unless it has changed tremendously the AAU/USSSA Travel Teams in NC, SC, Va, Tenn and Georgia were very competitive when we were playing 12U - 15U....then we moved on to Showcase.

    We looked at Travel as a way to get the better players on our team to push them to compete and play against the better talent of the other teams....our players then moved on to their respective Showcase teams to have the ability to play in front of the right people.
