The Cardinals/McHone are looking to fill a catcher spot for the upcoming summer season. We are very interested in a top notch '08 catcher but will consider a talented '07 to make a run at the ASA Nationals in 2007. We are a very competitive team and play all the regional showcases as well. If you are interested, please contact Rick McHone at 336-416-6056 or [email protected]

gosh.....little Stephaine Simmons, SSHS, '08, Catcher would have been a great catch for you Rick but was told recently she has committed(Blues). Great kid, works extremely hard, rips the ball and a joy to watch play the game. GROWING TOO!!!

Don't you have an all-state catcher on your roster now? Are you looking for a back-up for her or is she leaving the team?

    Cardinal Catcher

You are right. I have what I think is one of the best "all around" catchers in the state. There is a strong possibility that she decides not to play next year. She has decided against playing in college. I am awaiting a definite answer but my feeling is she won't be back after this fall and I truly hate that. She is a joy to have around. I'm looking to make sure I have something in place pretty quickly.

    Not interested

She doesn't want to dedicate the time it takes to excel at the college level and take away from her school work. She says she really wants to focus on academics.

    Smart

Sounds like a mature young lady that understands what she wants in life. I have had two girls do this over the years. They were special young ladies.

This catcher is ranked number one academically in her senior class. Just an outstanding young girl in every aspect. SHE IS VERY SPECIAL.
