Agreed ... an absolutely incredible display on defense. Offense looked very good as well IMO. It would be nice to see them keep that mojo heading into the playoffs.

I stand by my earlier post there was nothing negative about it. We finally ran between the tackles, changed a few offensive sets and look what happened.If you didnt notice DEAL carried the ball 28 times...... Got Harrington more involed in the game. Great job Cougar Coachs! Great job cougars.ACFAN, I understand where you are coming from cheerleaders dont usally understand what goes on in the game, just the score.

 

I understand there is times to realize that to disagree with coaches and players from there own fans is detrimental to the cause. If you want to add your two cents of coaching then email or talk to the coach and vent your ideas. My perspective to the game is a little different. Coach Deal has been blasted on here by "fans" from the start and still they keep being successful and getting accolades from outside sources. So I think there is more to coaching than just the score or the plays. Ask the players!!! Cougarman, if you or anyone else will check all your posts since you started you continually seek for a change of guard and it is always the same guard. I just disagree with how you bite the heels of the cougar teams.

 

I think cougar man is just hear to express his opinion. This is a board where we can express our opinions. If not they need to shut it down. I just happen to agree with Cougar Man we finally ran the football with the QB under center and got great results. Dean Smith said once he didnt change a thing it didnt matter who his next opponent was because they were perfect in what they were doing, so lets get to a game plan, stick to it and get as close to perfect and see how far we go in the playoffs.

Let me break this down for you Ole Wise One-Why do we change everything every week. Lets keep the offense set we had Saturday night get it to perfection and play deep in the playoffs. I know we need to change sets according to the other teams defense, but why the shotgun everyplay. Run behind that big line and keep the ball out of the other teams hands. Just a question??????????????

Hey Cougar Fans
Alot of us old football folks in the western part of the state are jealous of Alexander. Us oldtimers that have been around know some of you coach's and wonder if you know how lucky you are? Coach Deal and Coach Harper are two class acts. The players in Cougar land will be better men for knowing these guys when it's all said and done. I've talked to some Taylorsville folks Monday and they tell me it was a offense that knocked pepole off the ball and played hard and smart. A defense that was not afarid of playing all-out even the big DT. So it seems that AC has found what they need to do and the players have said let's do the job right. Sounds like the Cougars might make a run in the playoffs if they will beat South Caldwell like their the #1 team in the nation. If they take the South game serious and play mad as hell then look-out. Good Luck Cougars. And by the way Hickory, Freedom did not luck up they took it to Alexander and the Cougars did not respond.

I think that you're wrong on this one. Hickory's first drive accounted for half of their yardage and half of their points with ACHS responding by stopping the HHS offense then got their own moving in the second half. The team in the stripes are now under review for their sketchy calls including one that called the quarterback an ineligable reciever on a play that cost AC a touchdown. As for the Freedom game AC had twice the offensive production as the pats but couldn't put points up late due to stupid play calls and a kickoff returned for a touchdown by a player who caught the ball in the endzone.
