The Trojan held a comfortable 12 point lead (19-7) very late in the game but appeared to want to score again inside the last 90 seconds of the game. Thats when Mooresville Safety Dylan West caught a tipped pass at the Mooresville 12 and raced 88 yards to make it 19-14. Mooresville recovered the on-sides kick but time ran out at the NWC 19 yd. line. Mooresville must now await the decision by the NCHSAA to see if they even make it into the playoffs. They could have possibly been playing a first round game at home but are now in a 3 way tie for 3rd place with NWC and N. Iredell in the NPC 3A.

    Ragsdale 10 OT

Ragsdale should have won this game tonight. At least they made sure Asheboro earned that 11-0 perfect regular season.

Ashebro fumbled away a punt on their 35 with about four minutes left - Ragsdale just needed about 15 yards for FG range but they went backwards instead.

Ian Jenkins who caught a 2nd qtr TD pass almost had the game tying score in OT but couldn't hang on in the back of the end zone.

Asheboro is good - especially the D but they are vulnerable. Hopefully Ragsdale can keep their streak of first round playoff victories alive by upsetting somebody next week.

    Crest 54 South Point 20

It was a Charger offensive explosion as they have over 600 yards of offense in this game. Jordan Robinson sets a new Crest (he broke his own record that came earlier in the year) and Cleveland County passing record as he throws for 422 yards on 17-22 passing. Mario Washington set a new rec. record for Crest gaining 210 yrds on 8 catches. This was only the second 200 yard rec. game in Cleveland County history, the other belonging to Josh Briscoe of Burns. Bruce Smith had 170 yards rec. on 5 catches. These guys were pulled midway through the 3rd qtr, so it could have been much worse. Jordan had 5 TD passes and 1 TD run.

JR RB Ryan Black added 105 yrds rushing including a 50 yrd TD run that had the place buzzing. Tosh Toms was nursing a thigh bruise and had 38 yrds on the ground. Soph. Levon Brooks added 40 yrds and a TD.

Very impressive coming off of the short week.

    Folks, It's Playoff Time.:icon16:
