South Caldwell boys varsity will be good this year, as they should have been good the past two seasons. The talent was there. Coach Windmiller will get the job done. He knew these kids were not meeting their potential. I predict a big turnaround at South Caldwell. They are hungry after what they have suffered through the past two seasons.

The real question about South Caldwell isn't how good they are going to be it's how long will it take before they run off the new coach. Anyone out there have any predictions on that?

This is the first coach they have hired in the last 6 or 7 years that is actually qualified to do the job. I look for him to be around for quite a while. SC is known for not hiring QUALIFIED coaches as they try to GIVE coaching jobs to inhouse teachers. They finally got it right with baseball, girls basketball and football. Now boys basketball has a good coach. They have also hired a new soccer coach and volleyball coach who are suppose to be better. Only spot that is hurting now is softball. Probablly the worst of all there now. I look for a change there very soon. They are used to winning and it won't happen with the present coach

Watauga opens up with their regular season tonight @ home with Mitchell County. All JV and Varsity teams will play. Hopefully for both varsity they will have a better season then last year.
Seth Moore is quite the basketball player.
