My DD started using a 32" bat (11.5 oz drop) two years ago when she was about 5'2". This summer as she approached 5'7" and 130#, she had coaches suggest a longer bat, so we got a 33" Easton Synergy (she liked the balanced feel of the bat over the other choices, the RT for instance). The Synergy has a 10 oz drop, which means she picked up 2.5 oz and it showed in her swing for a while.

I say this basically to say I'd add an inch to ladies' recommendations.

We used the 07 in our last 2 tournaments, and it performed very well!

    Message board

I thought this was a message board and not a bulletin board to promote products that you may sell. I thought stuff like that was supposed to stay off this board. If the bat is so good why don't more colleges use them? I am not going to get into this because this is not supposed to be the place to do it. I am sure any manufacturer can supply you postivie stats as on their bats as they won't post negative ones, because they want them to sell!!

:newsmile37: SBFan you miss the point. I believe this is a sight to share all things softball with equipment recommendations being part of that. You still have to try them for yourself to see if it's a good fit for a partcular athlete. Who moved your cheese? :bananasanta:

Just trying to share direct information supplied to me from parents in this area. I dont need to use tbr to sell bats, in fact, i dont even advertise, the bat sells itself. as for supplying only positive stats, the 2005 rtfp was a nightmare with a horrible rejection rate. i like the look of the future composite, will be interesting to see how companies try to get around the 98mph thing.

If this new Rocket Tech is half as good as the original it will promote itself. It IS used in colleges. The big successful colleges sign sponsorship deals with Worth, Louisville Slugger, and Easton and must use their equipment exclusively. Anderson isn't a giant company that dishes out lots of sponsorship money.

This message board is doing exactly what its supposed to do.

    little more information

anderson has deals with three colleges, two on the west coast, one in wisc or minn, one of those foreign states. all are d1 schools. had a girl of mine go to uncp, coach said she couldnt use her rt. asked the coach why, and he replied that he has a deal with one of the top three, and if he used another bat anywhere in his lineup, he would forfeit his deal and loss quite a bit of money. the deal he had involved much more than bats, included balls, bags, catching equipment, etc, etc. i'm working on a few local colleges. will let ya know.
