Ryan Carter is a Soph. He is young for a soph but he can throw the ball hard. He has been working on his slider and changeup. If he continues to work hard he will be a stong pitcher for davie county.

    Thanks for the response

Thank you for the response. I was just wondering about the Carter kid. I had not heard of him before. Though the name seems familar from the JV team. How many pitchers will Davie have?

Just some additional info on Ryan Carter. He did play for the Davie JV team his freshman year. Don't quote me on the numbers, but I believe he ended up with a pitching record of 7-2, with an ERA below 1.00, and in the neighborhood of around 60 strikeouts. He also had a batting average of .419, which was second best in the school behind Whit Merrifield. Ryan has also played AAU/USSSA ball for the last 5 years. He was a member of the Triad Titan team that finished 4th in the nation back in July (14U World Series), where he also made the All-Tournament team. He also played his first year of Mocksville Junior Legion this past summer, and pitched very well thru the fall, where he gained some good experience playing with alot of the varsity guys.
