    AK ADDITIONS

A couple of Juniors that were not mentioned are Ryan Markham, South Meck(OF & P) and Brett Nyenhaus, Providence (IF). Both boys will bring alot to the team. Good luck!!!

    Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help from TBR posters to improve the SW4A outlook. It is difficult putting this together with limited info, and to verify without having to contact each coach, especially when some of the information is miss leading (like Shane Ludwick playing JV ball as a junior in '05) or incorrect (Spencer Terry being listed as a senior on the league's all-conference release). I have tried to update the posting as you posters have pointed out errors. Please continue to do so, to make this the best it can be. Also, there are many other talanted players in the league not mentioned, and if you wish to add your thoughts and ideas about the league or other players like SoBelle did please do so. Like Braves mentioned in another threat today:Baseball "It's around the corner. . ."

I was speaking with Providence coach, Danny Hignight, the other day and he said something that made me blink. At a time when most HS would love to have a starting pitcher that's a lefty, he is blessed with 5-6 of them....and they are all quality pitchers.

They are going to be tough to dethrone this year.

I'm really counting on some quality posting this year from the SW4A. I rarely get a chance to watch summer or fall baseball anymore, so many of the underclassmen I don't know. I'm counting on all of you to help me recognize players that deserve attention.

Everyone interested in the SW4A should thank you, mincmi!

I'm unable to follow the conference as closely as I once did; but, it looks like a great report...well written and abvious that a good bit of effort went into it.

    :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

Weddington also has Blake Stickley, senior shortstop returning. He batted over .390 last year and led the county in HRs.
A couple of junior relief pitchers round out the pitching staff.

ucbball...I think Weddington will suprise a lot of people this year....early on, most are looking for Providence to run away with the SW4A, going to be a few "wrinkles" in the conference this year and Weddington will provide a few of those wrinkles.

    Braves...

I had 5-6 as well in 03 if my memory serves me right! I ll put them up as a staff against ANYONE's in the country (I am pretty sure all of them maybe aside from one is pitching was at the next level) BUT as you may vaguely recollect #1 we did not hit PERIOD well enuf and #2 our defense escaped us at the most precious of moments! Pitching AND defense wins C's!:agreed:
    )playesr make plays, nuff said!:bdent:
