    Very Sad!!!

Sounds like living through your daughter to me. She is 10...let her be a little girl. My son and daughter (11 & 7) both play ball. They love it. I have always told them that if they were going to play they were going to work hard and be the best that they can be and I do push them hard. But I also realize that they are little kids. I let them be little kids. If they want to go ride bikes or play hide and seek with neighborhood friends instead of shooting hoops or passing ball then they go. And East I wasn't suggesting that it would be easy to just let go of a passion it will take time.....I've coached HS and MS for almost 19 years and have seen some parents do some crazy things from cussing their children in front of others, to not coming to games anymore. Sounds like you are a caring parent but I think sometimes we get blinded by what we are getting out of our kids participation that we don't just enjoy being around our children. I was just saying remember they are only around what seems like forever but is really only a short time ....then they are gone out on their own.

Not trying to get in your business, but your kids are probably burned out..if you had insisted they concentrate on one sport they probably would still be playing..but you did say they are still playing something..that is good..I always get myself in trouble with this statement, but college coaches are not interested in the 9 sports your child is playing, but what he or she excells in..sorry but this is the TRUTH !!!!

No matter they are probably still burned out...the human body needs rest ,and going from one event to another can cause the body to tire out to a point that a negative response will eventually be generated in the individual.....but GOOD LUCK ANYWAY....Oh by the way grades may or may not get your kids a scholarship...I have twin boys that were both honor students in high school, and scored a 1,420 and 1,240 respectively on the old SAT test and at that point 1,600 was a perfect score, and they didn't get squat from APP.State....GURU....:rulez:
