    Wouldn't it be nice....IF:

IF....at the end of every season, "they" (Baseball America, USA Today or ESPN) could sponsor/pay for a tournament where the top 25 teams in the "Final Poll" squared off at a neutral location? Say....Omaha, NE? Or, ESPN Complex in DisneyWorld?

"They" could pay for everything for the kids....only. Parents would have to foot their own bill to go. College coaches, pro scouts, and baseball fanatics could come watch all the HS talent gathered a centralized location. It could be themed as a "throwback" tourney to glorify the tradition of baseball.

Rules for attendance: 1.) Each spectator would be mandated to keep score on an actual scorecard! 2.) Drinks and hotdogs would HAVE to be $1 or less 3.) Mandatory autograph signings for kids 12 and under before/after every game by the participating players. (No grown-ups get autographs!)
    4.) No radar guns!

I know it could never happen, for a variety of reasons, but WOW...wouldn't that be something you'd budget for every year if you really liked HS baseball??
I bet it would be a HUGE success!

I would put North Lenoir in that list also. They have an unusually high amount of baseball talent for a small school.

West Forsyth did not appear to be ranked in this poll.

They are in the same league as, for example, Oak Hill Academy, and Patterson School are for Basketball. But lets face it it is cheaper to go to Carolina than it is to go to one of those high schools.
