most certainly guru, HS stats do mean something. just look at all of the SCORES THREADS. yes stats are subjective. but they do provide all of us a pretty good picture of a team or player. i for one love to read about the games out your way and the girls who did one thing or another in the game. get over the fact that some kids will hit .700 but when GAME TIME comes, ohhh, my back hurts. or the mother couldn't get off work in time to work the book. face it, it happens to all of us. THERE ARE LEGIT BAD ASS PITCHERS AND HITTERS THAT NEED TO BE RECOGNIZED. don't throw the baby out with the bath water. please keep east NC informed to the results of your kids. we're interested. go girls. play safe. HEELS MOVE ON!

Hey everybody has their opinion...Cool !!.... but FACTS are FACTS...BUT YOU LOST ME WHEN YOU WENT OUT ON THE TANGENT ABOUT GAME TIMES???? ---- TALK ABOUT LEFTFIELD ???? I would still like to see a kid that is hitting .700 in TB / SHOWCASE....now that's a stud !!!!!....

Stats you can't trust. The leading pitcher in our conference has a ton of strike outs recorded already. . . They played one rec level team three times. My daughters team has three non-conference losses recorded - two to South Florence (one and two point losses) which I am told is the number one 4A team in SC, one to Pender County ( a one run loss) and defeated a top 5 4A NC team twice. Obviously our stats aren't as great as other teams in our conference because of our non-conference schedule.

Last year I was all about stats, this year I'm content to let the stats be what they be and let the real stat speak for itself . . . who makes it to Walnut Creek. . . IMHO that'll seperate the "wheat from the chaft"

 

oh crap, i can't believe, as i was fixing to get to bed, i fell upon this post. #1 there is only one coach smith, never forget that!. as for roy? i say get rid of the tan, and focus on bball. as for .700 hitters in TB, not happening. odds are too great to the pitche, even the very best hitter will "fail" something along the 50% range. check this out captain guru, i know of a couple of hitters in NC that are not exclusive to the "hitters list". but when they sign, i'll say i told you so. play safe.
