    Poovey came in and pitched final inning and looked good for his first outing in a few weeks.

    Good to see Poovey back on the mound. He got the first guy to pop up to infield and struck out the next two. Brown did a good job today but for the first time this year the defense let a pitcher down. I think we had 7 or 8 errors. I hope that one is gone for the year. Good win though now we have Messer and Bumgarner to finish with and maybe Poovey for an inning or two if needed

    Not much from ER in the hitting department...Crest pitcher kept them off balance for 5 innings. A lead off homer by Blanton to start the game was about all East could muster until a lead off double in the 6th by Leach chased the pitcher. A passed ball tied the game for Crest in the top of the 7th. Solo homer in the top of the 8th by Crest put the chargers ahead. A lead off walk to Blanton in the bottom of the 8th brought Leach up again and he delievered again...a double to right center to tie the game...an int. BB, a bunt, another int. BB to load the bases....then a single by Park ended it. Q was quit for Crest....lefty handled him well.
