2007-08 NW4A Early Predictions

POY- Ali Ford
COY- Amber Fox

No clue on all league

 

1.McDowell- Always the pick for the league. Just depends on what happens down in Marion. If Coach Silver gets the job back look for them to be the favorite. If not, who knows the wheels on the bus might come off!

2. East Burke- Returns several starters and players from last year. Coach Murrey is and excellent coach.

3. Freedom- I think Ali can pull them through some games.

4. Watauga- Really depends on who gets the coaching job. If the right person gets it, then WHS could be on the rise. If not they wil finish last again!

5. ACR- The lose of Coach Snead is greater than anyone would have thought. Look for that program to continue to slide from last year's performance.

6. Alexander- Coach has them going in the right direction. Heard on a nother chat board that they were looking for a coach. Any information?

7. South Caldwell- Lost a lot from last years team and the JVs were terrrible. Hear they have some players coming up. If they will be freshmen next year, maybe SC will not finish at the bottom.

Should be a great season, with some possible new coaches! Where is everyone goign to team camp and playing this summer? Need to take a look at some action and see if my predicitions will stand.

Prediction

I have to agree with tman. WHS returns only 3-4 seniors. However, they have a lot of talent coming up. Problem is they are young. The younger players give WHS hope for the future, however. Don't get me wrong. Because of their youth, they will be a much better team at the end of the year than the beginning. By that time they should be competitive with the teams expected to finish in the middle.
