    Watauga had them up 4-3 going into the 7th, but they could not execute on bunts and lost by an infield single.

    McDowell at FHS

    In a game with playoff implications, Titans beat Patriots on 11 walks and 4 errors.
    Washington went 3-4 and Daw hit a 2-out 3 run bomb to tie the game in the sixth but McDowell got one in the 7th and Freeman worked a 1-2-3 seventh to beat the Patriots 8-7.

    Sabres Joe Shealy limits the Knights to only three hits, but all come in the three run second.

    Left hander Andrew Miller and the Knights hard work in practice pays off with four pickoffs at first, keeping the Sabres rallies cut short.

    Whiteville lost their first conference game. Whiteville not able to get timely hits, leaving 8 runners on base and only scoring two runs. Robbie Penny struggle a little on the mound giving up three runs in the first inning. A baseball hit him in his foot at practice on Saturday and he had a swollen toe on his push foot. None the less, South Columbus was determine to redeem themselves for a 9-0 loss earlier in the year.

    Whiteville 2 South Brunswick 1

    Down 1-0 in the bottom of seventh with 2 outs, Whiteville batter Quan Gaddy walk then Robbie Penny hit a single to centerfield. Speedster, Quan Gaddy rounded 2nd and headed to 3rd, the throw from CF was an error throw and ended up in the whiteville dugout giving Quan home for the tying run. Whiteville went into the 8 inning tied and lead off batter Charlie Gore hit a triple to the deepest part of whiteville legion field, next batter Lloyd Enzor walked and with the count 3 balls and no strikes, Ben Deans hit a high towering fly ball to centerfield scoring Gore on the tag up giving Whiteville the 2-1 win. Very exciting game! This was the second Friday in a row, down by one run with two outs in the seventh inning and Whiteville pulls the game out.
