WP: Nate Cudney (7 - 3)

David Mailman hit 2 solo HR's to spot Providence to a 4 - 2 lead after 5 innings. Myers Park came back and tied it up at 4 - 4. Nate Cudney replaced Tom Girdood on the mound for Myers Park. Providence had the bases loaded with 2 outs and Richie Shaefer came to the plate. The count went full at 3 - 2 and then he fouled off the next 4 or 5 pitches in a row. Cudney then pulled a string and threw a curve that struck out Shaefer swinging. Inning over - no runs. Myers Park then came up and Cudney lead off the top of the 7th inning with a single to left center. Robert Daniel came in as a courtesy runner for the pitcher. Chip Gaul then followed with a deep double to right center to score the go ahead run. Myers Park added some more base runners and aided by a few defensive miscues, Myers Park scored 2 more insurance runs. Nate Cudney finished off Providence in the bottom of the 7th inning to end the game. This was a big win for Myers Park as it secured a spot for them in the upcoming state playoffs.
