Butler-Weddington Matchup

Its a shame Butler and Weddington have to play for a 4th time...Those 2 teams deserve to be playing elsewhere in the tournament and against someone other than themselves...Course there are a few other teams as well, that weren't bracketed so lucky, anyway, should be another great game!!!

How did the first three games go?

 

Butler / Weddington

Butler won all 3 previous matchups, but live in the past and your season could be over. Weddington is a very good team, Butler better come focused and ready to play Tuesday.

 

It's a sign of the strength in the SW4A. They beat each other up during the season, they beat each other up in the conference tournament, then play again in the state playoffs. Good thing they didn't send any of the teams out east....or you could be seeing someone from your conference at the State Championship

i think butler had a way closer game with JM Robinson than it should have been so i think they will be focused and i mean they've rocked Terry the last two times so ill be shocked if Weddington pulls the upset but not entirely impossible the bulldog fateful with be their in full support

 

The frist game was pretty good but other two were rather one sided

And to be more specific

Game 1: March 15, Butler 8, Weddington 6, Both teams used some different pitchers dont remember off my head who was granted the win and the loss

Game 2: April 17, Butler 10, Weddington 0, WP-Andrew Smith, LP-Spencer Terry

Game 3: May 7, Conference Tournament Championship, Butler 7, Weddington 0, WP-Brandon Oatis, LP-Spencer Terry

 

One can't help but to get excited about Butler's season. It has been an incredible ride. The good thing about this matchup is there will be no surprises. Each team knows each other well. The bad thing is that it is very difficult to beat a talented team 3 games in one year, much less 4.

But if any team can do it, it is Butler. Besides the talent, the thing I liked best about them is the team chemistry. Every player is picking up their teammates.

 

I really hope that Butler plays well and wins, ..... but if Terry is on, (and I know that he hasn't pitched well against Butler), Butler could have problems. But from what I have seen, Butler is as good as any team you'll find and should be the favorite. Should be a good one.
