with ACR losing two key players this year is going to come down to McDowell, and one of two young squads in Freedom and Watauga. Freedom will contend, they are young but experienced and loaded with talent. Watauga will return Greene, a potential POY and a threat to score from the minute he walks in the door, and Herndon, a post player who started in the absence of Seth Moore. Other than that they will rely on seniors with little experience and talented, but young players.

well thats certainly good news for the pioneers, the JV squad has had quite a bit of success the last few years so they should be something to contend with

I think South Caldwells coach is doing an excellent job. Next Years team is going to be young with only three returning seniors, but they are going to get the job done. I look forward to seeing a good year by South Caldwell.

I agree SC coach is doing a great job. Problem here is many of the top athletes concentrate on baseball. Still I think they are doing really well with what they get to work with. I think this will be a tough year though. We lose a lot to graduation

I can't believe i am typing this but everyone that put seth weatherman to finish on the all conference team might be right. But McDowell might be able to finish with 3 on that squad. Brock Barnett cannot be stopped. Hands down he is the strongest person in the conferenc, unless that big guy from Watuaga is still there. Chris Twitty has a little brother ladies and gentlemen, watch out for him. Sam Ford is a force to be reckoned with also. East Burke has no one. They are the most dirty and unorgainzed team i have ever seen, but maybe this will change with their new coach. Watuaga has only one, we all know who that is. Without Andre Conley guarding him this year he might be able to drop a few over 20 on McDowell this year. Watuaga could have stayed in the game with McDowell in the conference tournament, but Greene tried to make it a one man show and thats what killed them. Maybe if he'd distribute the ball a bit more they would finish second in the conference. I like Ethan Kincaid too. He's not all conference yet but he is a solid point guard with his long "Petey" arms. Still, McDowell has the 2 best players in the conference with Petey and Buggy and still has the WNC Coach of the Year in Church. Expect them to win the conference by at least a couple of games. Whoever put McDowell tying with Freedom to win the conference is wrong, bad wrong. Brian Twitty is better than Ethan Kincaid, Dalton and Sam Ford are about even with Ford edging him, Buggy against ??????? noone. Brock and Weatherman will be a good match up, Weatherman has a decent outside game. But then there's Petey. Sorry man. You are wrong. McDowell is stacked. Maybe after they graduate but not this year my friend.
