    If Tyler Tewell goes off the game will be over. The kid is only a sophomore and if he doubles in the first and scores, the game is over

    Butler came very close to losing to Alexander Central. Alexander Central had the bases loaded twice I believe, so anything can happen. Spartans play smart ball and you will win. GO SPARTANS!!!

    SC had a couple of losses and a close game with Myers Park in the first round as well....Sometimes you need a close win to gain some experience and make you stronger...What happened with AC and Myers Park has no bearing what so ever on what happens Tuesday night!
    Really can't use that philosphy on who beat who or by how much...

    Can't wait till Tueday night...Should be a good one...

    A Walk Here or an Error There

    These "one and done" games at this level are almost always decided by a key walk or an error on a play that needed to be made.

    SC should win this game and here is why. I don't think Butler has a pitcher that can hold SC to less than 4 runs scoring 4 on a well rested Bumgarner is a very tough thing to do.

    heard some crap?????

    Hopefully it's only BS, but the rumor is Butler HS is only going to allow a certain number of fans in the stadium tommorrow night. I know one thing for sure, If I take 4 hours off from work, haul the wife and kids down to Mathews NC to watch my little, (younger) brother pitch, only to get turned away at the gate, they had better have the freakin riot squad awaitin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smack: :bobby: Lets only hope there is more class in their organization than what this rumor is letting on to be. Apologies about the negativity but this would be a disgrace to HS Baseball!!

    If their facilities can't handle the expected crowd they should have arranged to play at a different field. Just as SC does for the conference tournament. If what you are saying is right and some don't get to come in then until they can accomadate everyone those school shouldn't be able to host those games in the future. In our conference SC doesn't get to host the conference basketball tournament because our gym is to small. Same should be for state playoffs in baseball

    I don't think they will be turning anyone away. I think that the rumor may ahve been a ploy to discourage some SC fans from showing up in such big numbers. Just some pregame strategy????
