Several bunts and a couple of doubles added to that win as well, jarrettfan. Crest came to win that one. Sure glad AC woke up even if it was late in the game.[IMG]

    3A west

    Southwestern Randolph ....5
    Northwest Cabarrus .......0

Anna Maness threw a 2 hit shutout for SWR with 10 k's and the team had 11 hits , that makes 32 hits in three playoff games, defense played great with another error free game with Cynthia Hayes making an outstanding play at second when a popup landed 20' behind 1st base close to the line and Cynthia couldn't quite get to it so she caught it on the hop with her back to first and in one motion spins while still on the run and fires to first to get the runner out by a step .

just heard Eastern Randolph beat Glenn 4-1 so SWR will play them in the fourth round , congradulations to ER coach Randal Myers and his team , most of these ER girls play TB with alot of the SWR girls on the Rage and Knockouts so this is a BIG RIVALRY game with a trip to Raleigh on the line

    Hopewell - 9
    N. Meck - 6

WP - Lacy Robinson (1 and 2/3 of relief)

    N. Meck jumps out to 5 - 0 lead before Hopewell gets their first at bats. Hopewell mounted a comeback, scoring 2 in the second, and 3 in the fifth to tie it at 5 - 5. North Meck scores 1 in top of sixth to take lead 6 - 5, before Hopewell storms back with 4 in bottom of sixth. Awesome effort by both teams from MECA - 6 conference. Lots of action and lots of excitement.

Hopewell now goes to Welcome, NC to take on N. Davidson.

    Good luck to the Titans!!

    Hopewell over North

Hopewell won over North Meck tonight in a very good game by both teams. Tied at 5 all in 6th inning 1 out Tina Melton moves to 1st base Lacy Robinson in to pitch. North scores 1 and then Robinson gets out at home plate and a strike out to end 6th. Hopewell turns on the bats and scores 4 in the 6th. Then Robinson holds them to no hits in 7th to win the game! Great game by both! Good Luck to Hopewell vs N. Davidson should be another good game!

    WP-Lacy Robinson
    LP - Jessica Pierce
