    Ashley threw Caleb Long, a soph. for 5, and Eric Tello for 2. Leesville threw Hinton, so both teams still have their ace.

    Leading hitters: ASH--Card 2-2, Stott 1-4 (HR).

    Tyler Stott hit his first home run of the year on the second pitch of the game to jump start the Ashley offense. The Eagles then tacked on two more runs fueled by a throwing error and a Tony Santilli Sac-Fly to jump out to a 3-0 1st inning lead. The Eagles would then plate two more insurance runs in the top of the 7th to push the lead to 5-2 making it the final score. Sophomore Caleb Long pitched 5 good innings striking out two and giving up only 1 earned run. Erik Tello came on in the 6th inning pitching 2 shutout innings and striking out two earning the save. Leesville travels to Ashley tonight as they face off at 7pm.

    Caleb Long will be playing with the 2009 Copperhead team this summer and fall. His record this year is 7-0

    Since we don't get a lot of information about the eastern teams, can someone give us some background on Ashley? Record? Studs? what can we expect?
