    North Lenoir 16
    Whiteville 4

North Lenoir hit three HR's in the first inning and a total of five HR's in the game for a total of 13 runs. All of these HRs would have been routine flyouts at a normally baseball field. But in any rate, NL knows how to hit and play at their field. All balls that were knocked across the fence were fastballs up in the zone.....NL threw very few fastballs...they threw nothing but breaking balls, low in the zone. Hopefully, on Saturday when we force game three we will throw smarter!

    WP: Brandon Sutton 4 innings, 5 hits, 1 reached on error, 2 walks, 1 HB, 4 k's, 4 runs
Reliever: #10, 1 inning, 1 hit, 1 reached on error
    LP: Michael Wright 2/3 inning, 9 batters, 6 hits (3 HR), 1 HB, 1 k, 7 runs
Releive: Trey Nye 3 innings, 19 batters, 8 hits (2 HR), 2 walks, 9 runs
    Reliever: Zack Stanley 1/3 inning, 2 batters, 1 reached on error,1 K

    Batting NL:
    Sowers 2-4, 2 run Homer, 2 runs, 2 RBIs
    #9 Andrew 2-3, 3 run homer, 2 runs, 3 RBIs
Tyler Smith 1-2, 2 run homer, BB, 2 runs, 2 RBIs
    John Alpin 3-3, (2) 3 run homers, 2B, 3 runs, 6 RBIs

    Batting Whiteville:
    Ben Deans 2-2, 1 run
    Tyrone McCoy 1-2,
    Nye 1-2, 1 run, 1 RBI
    Chris Harris 1-2, 1 run, 2 RBIs
    Wright 1-3

NL plays at Whiteville, tonight at 7 p.m. on one of the best infields in the state. Hopefully, NL will bring a lot of fans tonight because Whiteville will be well supported!

Good Job ER. Keep battling. Go win that State 2A Championship. Would be nice for the 2A & 4A to be at the same place this year. Would love to watch yous guys play along with SC in the 4A (providing both teams make it).

Fastballs up in the zone against a quality opponent usually do go over the fence regardless of how short it is.
