How do this year's crowds compare to last year's crowds? Is the high school softball fan base getting bigger? How do the fans conduct themselves (positive or negative)?

Lets post realistic estimates on crowd sizes so far in this year's playoffs.

Describe media coverage of the playoffs in your area (good or poor).

seem to be an increase in this years attendance over in Kings Mtn.

Fan around here is growing as well, as folks who dont have dogs in this fight, talk and will attend the games.

heard no negative comments, except about the showboat homeplate umpire?

last nite in Kings Mtn, i am guessing over 600-800 people but hopefully a KMHS official can confirm the actual attendance.

media from both areas there but i think the ump ran them off??

what's a "media box", Coach Grayson? lol

North Davidson had a crap load of people at their game last night. I would say 1,250-1,500 easily. Of course they had a baseball game against South going on at the same time. Exciting softball game too.

    CD vs ED

I'll bet there were between 600-700 (JMO) people at this great game. Of course there were differnces in opinion on the calls made by umps but nothing out of hand. Softball is groooowwwing !! Umps did a good job. Parking was chaotic, but that's a good thing when you want to grow a sport!! Congrats to CD,. In a game like this niether team deserved to lose.

At South Caldwell our attendance was way down this year from past years especially at our Easter tournament. Hopefully it will start to come back next year

After this year some of the high school crowds will get smaller, because of the big names moving on....just mention a few that will continue with moderate to large crowds....Butler,S.W. Randolph, Central Davidson, & Central Cabarrus..these will be the largest in the Central West....:26:
