Who are the boys of summer? Teams/players to watch? Coaches? Now that high school ball is winding down, thoughts?

I can only speak for the Copperheads, but Freddy Suggs has put together a great group once again. His "Black" team comprised of mostly signed seniors along with a few unsigned guys should be an exciting group to watch. He has also put together a very strong group of '09 guys. Its a lot of fun seeing the direction this program is going in.

The South Charlotte Panthers '09 and '07 are the teams to watch!

They have one of the top programs in the Southeast, they do it for the right reasons, it is well-run, and they get talented players. They have the type of program that scouts want to see!

Don't forget the coaches....don't forget the coaches :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I find it silly and totally unfounded to say anything about SCP and Daddy's money. It's one of the very few programs that do not charge the players....Freddie Suggs with the Copperheads being another one.

I didn't. Thats where the "well-run" comes into play, but its true, the coaches over there do a great job of promoting their players. When it comes down to it, that is what showcase baseball is all about.

Now, you may not know that Braves jr is coaching this summer with them, so don't hold that against their program. But even he can't put a black eye on that program...they do all things the right way.

The Carolina Cubs should be a very strong team this summer. Loaded with pitching, a stout defense, and some timely bats they'll be a team to reckon with. Coach Keith and Tharrington have a lot of things to smile about...:2guns: :2guns:
