Has been a great series. I love Miss Mowatt. To be as little as she is, bringing good heat, keeping those batters off balance, & pitching as much as she has.If Ar. wins she is the MVP. Everyone knows Abbott is top dog, but this little gal is awesome in my book. I hope ole BulldogBoy sees how effective a changeup, & screwball can be. LOL

Oh yea, to answer thread ,Tenn let Ar make it to final game. I think that will keep them from winning their 1st champ.

    TN Will be National Champs

TN will sit on the change - up tonight, especially with 2 strikes. It will be effective for AZ but one player will catch the change up with runners in scoring position.

TN scores first and holds on for the win!

Mowatt's change looked really good and it was completely freezing the tenn batters, also it looked like ar was starting to figure abbott out, a little anyway. I'm going with ar, tenn missed their shot last night, you don't let a team like ar hang around :28: I'm pulling for tenn. but my $ would be on arizona

They had runners in scoring position a lot...

Tenn had runners in scoring position a lot last night, they just couldn't get them to score! They must stop looking at that change-up and send it to the land over the fence!

Go Lady Vols!! I hope they want it more!!!

Gotta go with AZ. A team that can't catch up with a change up in 10 innings....??? Of course, I could be partial, I love AZ.
My back hurts just watching Abbott pitching. I honestly think as close as it was last night it will be the first one to make a mistake. Oh and watching the slide over and over and OVER last night, I hate to admit, but she missed the plate by a fraction, but the tag was never made either so.

ARIZ got 'em. Tn couldn't muster hits when needed. Too many left on base. That little pitcher from ARIZ was tough. Created a lot of angles w/ her pitches. You never knew what was coming. She threw over 1000 pitches in 7 days!

Well, see the other thread, and it shouldn't matter either way. Catcher was blocking the plate without the ball. They need to do something or somebody is going to get hurt.

    Angles & Change of speed

Correct about the angles. She essentially threw two pitches. The change, which is very good, and the screw that she always throws illegally. She creates the "angle" by stepping at about 30 degrees to her power line. This results in her being out of the pitching lane but the umpires simply ignore it. I've seen a number of these so-called screw ball pitchers get away with this. If you look at the slo-mo of her pitch it really has almost no break. It's just a "cut" fastball that bores in on the RH hitters because of the release angle. Evans is a very good pitching coach who knows when and how to stretch the rules.

    Its about "angles" all right!
