More Info on The Concert and Worship Services.

Sunday Worship Services will begin this weekend at the Cardinal Early Bird in Rock Hill and the ASA Qualifier in Wilmington.
For the Early Bird, a 30-35 minute service will be held during the first and second games. Each service will finish in time for coaches to have 30 minutes or so to warm up their kids for the next game. The service for the second game will not begin until 10 minutes after the first game ends to allow coaches time to debrief their teams. We will have music and a guest speaker for each service.

For the Qualifier in Wilmington, we will be taking a 30 minute break between the first and second games.

    All services are voluntary options.

Apologetix Concert and the Pride Showcase

Apologetix has agreed to two concerts with us. Friday June 22 will be at the SpringwoodPark in conjunction with the Pride Showcase. The second concert will be Sunday June 24 at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Clemmons, NC.

These concerts are not limited to just players and parents. We are opening them up to Church Youth Groups and the General Public. They are the kick off events for our ASA Sports Ministry reaching athletes who much choose between being seen by college coaches for possible scholarships and attending their home church services on Sunday. We feel we are meeting a need where it is by bringing Worship to the ball park. All proceeds from ticket sales, after expenses, will be used to support the Sports Ministry program and the Sunday Services.

    Ticket prices are as follows:

    Children under 6 FREE

$10 each in advance for groups of 15 or more
$12 each in advance for Individuals

$14 each Day of Show for All

Players and Coaches participating in the Pride Showcase Free
Players and Coaches of the State Games at UNC-G $7
Parents of all players participating in either the Pride Showcase or State Games $7

PayPal is accepted for Advanced Ticket Purchases Only. Simply email your request to [email protected] and an invoice will be sent.

UNC-G is only 25 minutes away from Springwood. The Concert on Friday will not start till 7 PM. So All of you playing in the State Games, feel free to come on over as well.

These concerts are open to Church Youth Groups and the General Public. If you are a Pastor or Youth Pastor please bring your youth groups and get involved with a ministry to these outstanding athletes. Ticket Prices for Youth Groups will include entry to the Pride Showcase for the 3 PM and 4:30 Rounds of Games. The concert should be over by 8 PM to get you all home at a decent hour. We want Youth Groups and Churches to see the effort our players put into their dreams.

    More about Apologetix:

Apologetix is a Christian Parody Band and have been playing together since 1992. Some of the songs they do parodies on include:

    Bohemian Rhapsody
    Gold Digger
    8 Mile
    Come Out and Play
    All Apologies

Chances are they have done a parody on your favorite Country, Rock, Pop, Rap, or Beach song. For more information on the band, go to the link in Ric’s post and we look forward to seeing you at the park and at the concert. You will not be disappointed.

    Thank You

Thanks to all who attended the worship services at Rock Hill and at Wilmington this past weekend. In Rock Hill, we had about 50-60 people attend the two services.

Wilmington had close to 100 people attend. A couple of teams that finished on Saturday, stayed around for the service on Sunday morning.

Thanks so much to Ric McHone and for the others with the vision and burden to initiate these services. But most of all thanks to those who attend. This is for each of you.
