    I met this man last week, had a very short conversation with him due to the fact that he was surrounded by current and former players all wanting his attention. In this short conversation with him and his players, I learned two things:

    First, you dont keep the respect of your current and former players by not caring about them. It was obvious that he had the respect and love of the group of players that surrounded him that day.

    Second, no matter where this man goes, if he goes, that program will always compete for the state title. He obviously has the knowledge, the drive and the game to take them there.

    People that know me, know I am neutral on CC and this observation is just that, my sort conversation with MS.

    I know many people are curious about this, but keep in mind the current and future players at CC. I'm sure they are upset at reading about rumors and such. I can assure you, if Coach Sherrill makes any decisions on moving, he will inform us on the board as to where and why.

    I know this, the coach gets many offers; HS and college, too. If you are successful, everyone wants you. He has turned down offers in the past and he will continue to make an informed decision in the future.

    He has been seen (and heard) courting the Alexander kids already and has had no contact with the CC players. He was at Mighty Casey with his pitcher from AC and has been calling many more of them.

    Is that fair since he has not announced to CC he is leaving?

    This is nothing new. Monte lives in Taylorsville and obviously knows the players and parents that live there. He has done this for years. The fact that he has been seen talking with the baseball players at AC and their legion team doesn't mean he is interested in those positions either...c'mon let's don't :stirthepot: ...someone always gets hurt.
