    We would like to invite you all out for a night of baseball at Davidson College on Wednesday. The Davidson Copperheads will be taking on the league leading Monroe Channelcats at 7:00 PM. Tell them at the gate that you are with the TBR group and you will get in at no admission. There will be a lot of local players featured in this matchup. "Pops" will be on the grill with some of the best hamburgers around. Hope to see you all there.

    Heard some news that the Channelcats are all but broke. Can't pay umps and are struggling to make "payroll". The local paper in Monroe is beating them up pretty good.

    If that is true, all they have to do is to post a fund drive on TBR and we can help them out. And Lefty...sorry, buddy!...I'm bringing my Tribe.

    Outlawjones - I haven't seen anything in the paper about them degrading our team or beating us up. If what your saying is true then that is defiantly news to me.

    On the lighter side of things. The Channelcats beat Davidson tonight 6-5. We scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth for the win.

    The company I work for is a big supporter of the Channelcats but Wes has mentioned their struggles. If I had the Monroe E-Q online, I would attach the articles I've seen. Hopefully things will turn. Watched the games with the Tornado last week and had a great time. Saw the Roark kid hit two long balls for Tenn. but Monroe pulled it out.

    The games are a lot of fun to go to. The difference between this year and last year is that Wes charges admission. From what i've seen we get one of the better crowds in the league but I would also like to see more people come out and support out.
