If you were in Burlington this past weekend, you had a chance to hear Kendayl at the Sunday Morning Worship Service give her testimony and story of her battle with cancer the last few month. If you missed the worship service, you missed a blessing. Her story of courage and faith is a true blessing to hear and a challenge to others to live.

Her last round of chemo had some complications. Because of this, she was in the hospital most of last week. She still was not feeling 100% on Sunday, but was determined to be at the field and share her story.

Her parents have taught her for years how to practice her faith and this has been her game situation to put it to action. She had said at first she was wondering why me? But now she asks God, "Why NOT me?" Like any great athlete who trains in practice to step up big in the game situations, Kendayl has done so in this situation to be an example to us all of how to persevere in faith and trust living what you believe. It is great to see a kid who can perform well in sports and in life.

Kendayl, thank you for your example courage and faith, on and off the feild, to all of us. You are a special young lady. It is an honor to know you and your family.

I received a true blessing Sunday morning at the worship service hearing this young lady for the first time. She is an amasing person to accept what has come her way with the faith that she has that she will get through this. She will get through this. I would hope my faith is as strong as this young ladies is if I were ever in a position like she is. Thank you Kendayl for sharing with us Sunday morning and thanks to the people who provide the Sunday morning worship services at the NC ASA tournaments. What a blessing Sunday monring!!!!!

    KENDAYL

It was a great testimony from Kendayl and a fine Sunday service at the ballfield. Happy to have been there. Kendayl has class that's for sure.
