    Rowan 6 Moorsville 5

    Moorsville 5 13 9
    Rowan Co. 6 6 1

    WP--Keegan Linza 7-0
    LP--Brandon Padgett
    SV--Lee Dupree

    Rowan leads 1-0

    Moorsville completely outhit Rowan County, but Moorsville played defense like they were using donuts instead of gloves as they committed 9 errors. Any defense at all and Moorsville would have won this game. Rowan has sleep walked its way thru its last 3 or 4 games and needs to improve before the next round. In the 9th inning, Lee Dupree retired the first two hitters he faced. A single by Abraham set the stage for a dramatic ending. Then next Moorsville batter, Braun, hit a shot off of the right field wall. With two outs the runner was moving on the pitch. DC Cranford played the ball off the wall and relayed the throw to Micah Jarrett. Jarrett then fired the ball to Jacob Dobbins who applied the tag to Abraham to end the game. It was the second runner Rowan had cut down at the plate in the game.

    Just got home from watching the South Rowan vs. Kannapolis game and the umpires beat kannapolis tonight...post 115 definitely has the better team and played better but the umpires made terrible calls all night against Kannapolis...Kannapolis should rebound and win the series

    Kannapolis vs. South Rowan

    Charlie,

    All due respect, Kannapolis is not better than South Rowan from what I have seen of both teams this year. I did think that if Kannapolis won the first game they could have won this series. I do think Rowan, Stanly, Mocksville, and Lexington are better than South in the division. South's pitching is better from this point on when compared to Kannapolis. Tonight's game should be interesting after a very emotional game 1.
