    Another surprise.....19-3...whats up with Denver and what happen to Rutherford County...I like it....take the broom to the next game Denver...send them home squalling :cry: ...Thats Bobby Dale country down there, Rutherford and Cherryville...shake them up in a bag and you got the same thing

    Trailing 10-3 going into the bottom of the 6th, Charlotte
    scores 18 unanswered runs over 3 innings, sparked by
    Grand Slam homeruns by James Cerbie and Hank Stephens.

    Game 3
    Denver wins game 3 to sweep Rutherford.
    I think the score was 8-4.

    Shelby vs. Union County

    Union County went on top by scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning, but that was all they would get because Casey Metcalfe settled in, followed by Eric Shuford and Brett Wease. Shelby put together hit after hit in the next several innings and wound up winning 8 to 3. They will now take on Cherryville in the most heated rivalry in legion baseball. It looks as if Shelby is starting to get hot. It should be a good series.

    Shelby wins series 3-1.

    Charlotte wins the game despite only getting 3 hits. They win the series 3-1.
