    As opposed to when? Area's I and II start much later than the other two area's... mainly because of the number of teams.

    Post 10 vs. Jacksonville

    Courtesy of the star news...First article ive seen in weeks!

    Post 10 opens series with win

    Bud Lanier and Ryan Gause each had three hits and Allen King earned the victory on the mound as Wilmington Post 10 defeated Jacksonville 265 9-7 in the opening game of the American Legion Area II East baseball playoff series.

    Game 2 will be played tonight at 7 at White Oak High School.


    Morehead won the first game of their series 9-4 also...

    Wilmington beat Jacksonville in game #2 by the score of 6-3

    Wilmington leads the series 2-0

    Post 10 sweeps series

    Ryan Miller collected four hits to help Wilmington Post 10 wrap up its Area II East American Legion baseball playoff series against Jacksonville Post 265 with an 11-3 victory.

    Josh Whitesell pitched 5.1 innings, striking out three and allowing three hits, to earn the win.

    Post 10 swept the best-of-five series and advances to take on Morehead City Post 46 for the East final.

    The series opener will be Thursday or Friday at West Carteret High School.

    The deciding game 5 is tonight at South View HS. Winner will face Scotland County for the Area II West Championship.
