18U Best

It was on Friday night that the Blues played Chandler's Cards. Kalee Lang was on the mound for the Blues and yes she pitched a great game. She has one broken pinky and the other pinky was injured also last weekend. LSU signee Casey Fail (I apologize if her name is mis spelled) was on the bump for the Cards. She is always tough and has to be one of the best in the country.

Hmmm!! I don't think Chelsey played in these games due to injury.? She's a great young lady and awesome player who gives her all 100% of the time.. I wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her back in the circle soon. Lots of prayers going out for her from our softball family...
The last time she pitched against the Cards was in Rock Hill, Cards won 3-1. This game showcased the '07 NC State HS 2A MVP pitcher against the NCHS 1A MVP slugger. This time the slugger went 2 for 3 with a double and all 3 Card RBI's. Great players make great games.... Next time will surely be different but still a great match up.

Yes, I would agree that the Cobras, Cardinals (Chandler), and the Blues when they are at full strength are probably playing the best ball in the state. Right below them are about 10 teams that are also very good and can beat anyone on a given night, but are not as consistant as the top 3.

That's been my moto for years, and is always true.

Btw: The Cobras or neither Lady Blues teams have beaten the Cardinal's this year anywhere to my knowledge, not that they can't but they haven't yet.

 

Chelsea has a strained ligament in her throwing hand and needs 30 days rest. My DD catches her in school ball and she throws a lot of breaking balls that caused the problem. Just needs rest and she should be back soon.

 

Cardinals

The Blues respect the Cardinals and enjoy playing them as they are always great games. We will never make excuses about losing nor glote when we win. The Cobras as well are very good and can beat U in many ways. Tri-Angle Lighting, Rage, McHone Cardinals, Curve, and many other teams are good as well.
Our goal is to get all our girls assistance for college and I gauge my success on the percentage of kids the Blues get signed as many of our kids would struggle to pay for college without softball which by the way also opens up additional monies beyond the softball scholarship if u know how to seek same.
Lets all continue supporting each other as we seek National acclaim for NC softball! I know all the coaches will root for each other at the Nationals and I for one will try my best to see all of my brothers from NC play.
Chelsea Leonard is doing well and we hope to have her for the fall! Our other pitchers are doing great in her absence and won the berth for our team. No doubt Chelsea would give us a lift but I still expect our other players to step it up and help us do well.

since I've known them. !2u and on and on! They are a talented bunch of good kids.

Just make sure to give urself time to heal correctly. Don't rush it, it's not worth a long term injury. All I'm saying is take care of yourself first, then come back and enjoy the game some more. I see too many push injuries just to win one more game....
