    Rowan Lexington Details:

    Rowan in control from first inning. Hitters putting up 6 runs in first 5 innings; Dupre holding Lexington to 1. Almost got 10-run rule in 8th, shame they didn't cause 9th ugly, marred by 2 HBP (one Grubb hopefully okay; hit in head) and 3 Rowan errors from their normally stout D (partially due to field, partially sloppy play with big lead, partially shaken by Grubb HBP). Lex batted around in the inning, Wilhelm (earlier had homered) with chance to make it interesting down 5 with bases loaded, but Shives Kd him. Assuming Kernersville next - could be interesting - Kernersville pitching strong.

    Randolph Co. wins series (3-0); open with winner of South Rowan\Concord series @ McCrary Park on 7/21

    High Point @ Kernersville 7/18
    Kernersville leads series (2-0); winner of this series @ Rowan on 7/21

    Rowan faces winner of Kernersville/High Point Saturday for third round. I imagine the rest are scheduled for Sat. too.

    Good to finally have some Rowan folks posting on TBR,,,,,,,,,,,, as great as a legion program that Rowan has and as big as a legion hotbed that Rowan County is with your storied history,,, you guys haven't had much voice on the best prep baseball message board over the last few years. As one of your opponents, I have found myself having to stand up for you guys on more than one occasion. Great to have you aboard and hopefully there will be many more Rowan posters joining in the future.... :52:

    Btw, South Rowan closed out their series with Concord tonight by winning 6-5, winning the series 3 games to 1. C.J. Neal pitched a great complete game for South. Congrats to Concord on making a good playoff run after finishing 7th in the regular season. South Rowan now travels to Randolph County to start the next series on Saturday night.

    couldn't ask for two better series than south vs randolph and rowan vs kernersville (assuming kernersville).
