I am a bit biased, but after seeing the Bulls play twice yesterday... I don't see how anyone can beat them on the JR Legion level. They beat Wayne Co. 11-2 and Morehead City 11-1.

    Junior Legion in the East

The North Carolina Junior Legion is divided into TWO areas, East and West. Several years ago the East decided to send the four or five best teams to the State Playoffs. This is why the idea of a quaulifier was brought in. This year we just finished a wonderful weekend at the USA Baseball Complex that brought eight very good teams from Senior Legion Area l and ll. The result was, in my opinion, excellent baseball and 4 very good teams going to Cherryville representing the East. Not necessarilly 2 from Area I and 2 from Area II. We do not crown a Eastern Champion we just celbrate the 4 best.
Hopefully, one can be the best in the State.

I hope the West, III and IV, can settle their differences and do what is best for the player and parent and not what is good for the gate. See you in Cherryville.

    Before this gets crazy

does anyone know if any of the others areas wanted the tournament in there parks? Lots of times teams turn them down for one reason or another. I am a fan of the Post 100 teams and dont think they would try to short anyone. But just my opinion.

I hope this is not forgotten. What was done is wrong no matter how you try to cover it up. This is really a black eye for the jr. legion program. I hope something will be done about this sad leadership. The good o boys system is alive and well in cherryville.
