    Thanks coach

Once again, I said I was asking nicely and thanks for your input on this. The term "black balled" was used by many parents in the AC and CC systems. I was only responding to some concerns by parents. I just asked becuase I have nothing at stake.

Good luck coach S and AC!!!!!!!!!!

When I started this thread I was really hoping to hear from some actual parents and/or players from AC. Thanks for the post Monte. Didn't want to get anyone in trouble. Just been hearing good and bad things about the TB teams getting together up there. Don't see much of a way of getting around hard feelings. I'm already hearing about annoyed parents. Don't even have to go to the ball field to hear talk of Coach S. and ACHS. Come on parents, this is the place to vent. Let's hear it. It's all good.

The way I hear it, they have plenty of local talent. But I did hear that they were going to get a bunch of 15 and 16 year olds to play 18U. Don't know if they will have a 16U team or not. Wonder why they don't let the 15 and 16 year olds play 16U and the 17 and 18 year olds play 18U. I hear there are enough really talented girls for teams in all age groups, especially the younger ones. Maybe the other girls were already committed to TB teams. Just wondering, cause I was hoping my DD would play them in 16U. I also think the "democracy" thing is a little dramatic. There are going to definetely be feelings hurt, mad parents, etc. But if your kid is involved in school ball, you have to have some pretty tough skin. Things will probably get a whole lot worse for AC before it has a chance to get better and work out all the kinks. No matter, they will be getting some great coaching.

    ?????

He has respect from many! That doesn't mean people should bow down to him when he speaks softball. As far as "daddy coaches", put yourself in the shoes of a dad 1st and think about your DD being on a team that folds (last year) becuase of what multiple parents on the same team said they were asked to do by the coach in question while at his former school. I don't think our team practicing at Hopewell had anything to do with it.?? True, I was not present when he told them to quit the team in question. But, it did happen and they did not form any other teams, or play for anyone else until this summer (after school was out). Then fast forward to now. You have cut your loses and started all over with new faces from new areas. Then it happens again, the same comments from DIFFERENT parents saying the same song and dance about who to play for or else. ????????:beatdeadhorse5: :censored: How can someone make up a story like that and it happen twice in a year? I am not coaching this year, but know what our coach is going through.

At the end of the day, ALL coaches should be Dads!!!!!!!

    Hmm...

It certainly has happened on other teams as well.

Right or wrong, good or bad, it happens in a lot of places.

    All coaches should be dads

If all coaches were dads then a lot of parents would acuse the coach of favoring his or her daughter All dads should back their dd and teach them respect for their coaches and teach them leadership qualities not what about me .To have a successful team takes teamwork and leadership I think there is to much me ball and not enough team ball

i don't think crazecoach was saying the coach should be one of the dads but at the end of the day the girls is what matters. a coach is usually someones dad and hopefully he turns back into one after the game. and if you think any of alex's parents or players will get on here and voice any opposition in the chance of being known who they are, then you can keep waiting. no parent of any school is going to take a chance being seen as a troublemaker to the hs coach of any sport. only thing you will hear now is "i like coach", "i like plans", "i like team", "i like ...", "i like ...", " i like ..." . i think that you should let the chips fall wherever and let the parents and players decide for themselves to stay with their committment or go loco (i mean local).:24:
