    Ryan has just been called up from "Rookie" ball to "Long Season A" ball with the Lake County Captains. He will pitch his first game Friday 7/20 in Lake County and then he is scheduled to pitch Wednesday 7/25 at Hickory and again 8/11 at Kannapolis .

    It would be fun to gather up some TBR folks and go up to either or both games to lend our support. There is a bonus to these games....dbacks is treating!!!!!!!!!:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

    Let us know if you are able to attend either of these games, so we can meet up.

    Crawdad Stadium....signs are on Hwy 321 a couple of miles past I-40. The stadium will be on your left

    Great News!

    I'm thrilled for Ryan. I'm also really pleased to see how well the Indians are managing his career. He has a 1.8 ERA and a great K to BB ratio so far this year. Time to move up! He's got a great work ethic and solid attitude.

    An interesting side note. As Ryan was flown into Cleveland, the team had a stretch limo waiting for him and gave him an upgraded hotel suite. He told his dad, "I can get used to this". Wait til the kid gets to the next level...they will have a new car waiting for him.

    Ryan pitch well but got a ND in his first outing with the Captains last night. He went:

    5 IP
    1 Hit
    0 Runs
    2 Walks
    4 K's
    1 pick off

    He pitches again Wednesday nite 7/25 in Hickory....hope to see you there.

    I've been following Ryan's progress this spring along with the other area players. An impressive first outing in A ball, not to mention pitching in front of a crowd of over 8,000. DBacks, I know you are proud.
