Braves, I was there. The SCP boys made plays when they had to. It is a super bunch of players to watch. We have a long way to go to play with the intensity these kids play with. I spoke with several of the parents while there also. That young guy coaching 1st base sure appeared to have a good time! Great game to watch!

    1st Base Coach

The 1st Base Coach for the South Charlotte Panthers 16U is T.J. Worrell (S. Meck., Lenoir Rhyne College). He's been a great asset to Don Hutchins' (head coach) and the team. The players respect him and feed off his love and knowledge of the game.

    Come On Now Braves!

 Don't let the old Angels coach down! I know who TJ is. I even offered him a job!! He declined of course but grinned just to make me feel better. I told him it can't be that much fun winning ALL the time!!

Hahahaha...no coach, I'd never let you down. He's having a great time. He's enjoyed all of the guys and particularly working with Coach Hutchins. But as much fun as he has had, I believe he would prefer to be at the Cape...pitching!

Oh boy, that statement will shake up a hornets nest. While there is no question they have achieved a lot this summer and it's certainly a great program, there are quite a few programs out there that could compete fpr that title...and barring bad weather, this weekend at the Impact Showcase will gather many of these teams together.

The ironic thing about the PGWWB tournaments, NC teams never play against each other.

Having said that, the SC Panthers have accomplished a lot, particularly at those events.
