    Team and player info

Here is some info on the teams and players on the current roster. Like I said in an earlier post this program has been a "Showcase Team" for the last 2 years. This year we have (2) 17U teams (Red & Black) that were divided equally at the first of the season and also we have a 16U team. The 17U Red team has an overall record this summer of 25-9 and the 17U Black team is at 18-11 these 2 teams have been playing in most of the Impact events and Perfect Game events. The Red team won the Perfect Game WWBA consolation National Championship Game last week at East Cobb. I do not have the record of the 16U team at this time but they have been playing in some Diamond Devil, Impact tournaments and Perfect Game events as well, Last week the 16U team qualified for the Championship Bracket pool play at the WWBA in Georgia.

These teams are made up of players from Charlotte, Hickory, Morganton, Hendersonville, Winston Salem, Wilkesboro, Etc. (The Western part of the State). A total of 9 State Game participants for 2007.

I will list the players on another post.

We are having open tryouts next week (Tues & Weds) for our Fall teams. If anyone is interested please go to our website www.heatshowcasebaseball.com and fill out a player profile.

Lets talk about 08's only. The others have 1 to 2 more years to play and showcase their talents. How many 08's are truely recruits. I'm talking about baseball and student wise. I saw that other teams post GPA'S on their players. Also why do you have 09's and 10's playing with 08's. I have been around baseball a long time and know for a fact that kids 2 -3 years younger cannot compete day in and day out with older kids. Some can but not 3 or 4 on each team.
I think that you have a very talented group but lets talk about the ones that can be recruited.
