Randolph wins tonight 5-0 to force a game 7 Friday night back in Asheboro. Strong pitching by Yow and relievers and some clutch hits lifted Randolph to this one. Zach "Rudy" Brown started for South and was effective until his pitch count ran up and I think their coach left him in there too long. South does not have a lot of pitching past Brown and Walker Snow. Ben Bunting should get the start tomorrow for Randolph. Not sure who will be going for South.

    I was There!

My son and I went to South last night and enjoyed the game. Clutch hitting by RC was the difference.

Missed the half-n-half by 6 numbers, Big pot too, I think it was around $600.00!!!!! My luck hasn't been too good lately, missed a pot in Concord by 2 this year for a couple hundred.

    Good Luck SR tonight!

There was a lot of regular Rowan supporters at the South game last night including myself, and I think that had something to do with the big pot. At Newman Park(where Rowan plays) it's not unusual to have pots up to 800 dollars. Fans love their legion ball around here.

Someone posted on ncpreps that Rowan/Randolph is a Best of 7 slated to start Saturday night. Randolph County won a coin toss to win home field advantage but they forfeited Game 1 to Rowan.

I can imagine why... 8 games in 8 days would be tough. Surprised they would have them start Saturday to begin with.

    Is this true?

Yep. McCrary was being used by the Copperheads tomorrow night. So game 1 was switched to Rowan with games 2 & 3 to be at RC. Forfeit game #1 for a rest day. I don't understand the rush over a day, especially when there are field issues. The series would have moved along just fine starting on Sunday. Hats to the Area 3 commish  .

    SR played a great series.
