Moose said it pretty well, same from the Carolina man. Nothing personal, I just like to rattle Cherryville's cage during playoff time. Hope both teams have a great state tournament and safe trip back. Good luck....Enjoyed sparing with you Sumo

"Oh boy! I'm sorry but I just can't let this hang up here like that. So I took the time to register just to tell you how idiotic of statement that was. Do all the things he's accomplished at ER & Post 100 need to be spelled out for you. I challenge you to name any other coach at this level from the state of NC in their early 40s as decorated as BDR. I'll take his aggressive style of play and the banners that go with it any day. And what the h*** is overcoaching. Ask any of his former or current players what they think of his coaching style and listen to their responses. Yeah he's had some talent, but he sure knows what to do with it. And FTR, I think Hamby is an exceptional coach as well."

Welcome to the board, HenryHill. You seem like a goodfella.

The green eyed monster is envy, not jealousy.

Coaching is overrated. Give any of the coaches appearing in the state tournament the talent of the last place teams in their league, and none of them would still be playing.

    I beg to differ...

While coaching is not everything, neither is talent. Without good coaching, talent is wasted, however good coaching is never wasted.

Some teams have really good talent, some have excellent coaching, when the two happen to join up on the same team then you have a championship ball club. Hamby and BDR has been doing it to long and their record speaks volumes. A great coach can take a so-so ball club and make them great and a bad coach can take a good ball club and hold them back in my opinion

You can put a staff that included Jim Leyland & Tony LaRussa together and they would not advance a last place legion team to the state championship. No one is that good. Very good or great coaches can make a poor team better. And they can push a powerful team to the top. You can't just mail in a lineup card and let the talent take care of the rest. Sure I would rather take my chances with talent over coaching but you still need both if you're going to advance deep in the postseason. Coaching is not overated.
