So what are we to make of this series? Heading to Garner...is Randolph clearly the superior team? They've beaten Rowan 4 of 6 times this season, you know. And does this mean that the Northern Division was better after all? Just wondering...

    wow

The Rowan SS is fun to watch. Great player.

I have come to the conclussion that Ethan Marsh is the best dang player no one has heard of. 3? more hits last night to include a HR and they had him close another game on the mound. It was my understanding he wasn't a pitcher. To close 3 games against a high powered Rowan team don't seem to jive with that. Spotty control but pretty good velocity and nasty curve. Rowan refused to even try to run on him on the base paths while he was in RF/CF. He's heading to Mars Hill College to play ball (a thorn in Gantts side for 4 more years in the SAC), but is he eligible to return to the 45 next year?? What are the birthdates for eligibility.

One other conclussion leading to a prediction.......the 45's Hunter Ridge will be one of the best hitters in this state in 2 years. Mark that down.

If the Post 45 loses Bunting, Marsh, Pritchard, and Yow after this season will they be competitive next year? What's coming up? Anyone?

UK7Dook3,,,,,,,,,, well both teams have to feel good heading to Garner, but in this series,,, the facts are Randolph DID beat Rowan on the field 4 games to 2, beating both of Rowan's top pitchers (Young & Linza), and the final game was about as onesided as I can ever recall a championship game,,, and hear this, Randolph did this ALL WHILE their best pitcher never threw a single pitch in this series. Clearly, Randolph was kings of Area 3 this year.

Not sure if I would say the entire Northern Division was better than Southern Division though, because there was a lot of balance in the South as usual.
