    "Sweet 16"

    Being its labeled the "Sweet 16", usually means that only sixteen teams are accepted. Of course no promoter wants to turn money away so they will add a 17th team regardless of the tournament title.

    Number 17 dropped so its the "Sweet 16" again.

    SWEET 16?

    According to the brackets, we're down to 15, looks like the Va. team dropped, not sure about that. It's still gonna be a good tournament. Hope to see good crowds there too!!

    I was in Huntersville this morning to watch a game or two. Watched The Mudslingers and Bombshells and The Firesticks and Denver Dazzle. Enjoyed talking with Ed, David, Nathan, Bill, Sid and many other coaches including the folks from the Carolina Attitude. Also talked to several of the players and fans on various teams. Good softball! I wish I could have stayed longer. Maybe catch another game late today or early in the morning. Good luck to all.

    enjoyed it also cometfan, great people at these tournaments, as always. saw some great plays and some great clutch hits today also. but man, was it hot or what???

    Gold bracket championship game still going when we left between Attitude 16U and Bombshells. Winner of Silver Smokey Mountain Sting 2nd place Blaze.

    Congratulations to The 16u Carolina Attitude for their 1st place finish in the Sweet Sixteen. I had the opportunity to watch The Attitudes play each other, and I can say that those young ladies had a blast playing each other in competition after practicing with each other all week long. Both teams are a class act. I also enjoyed talking with the coaches of the 16u Carolina Attitude (very friendly). Davidson County and surrounding area have a lot to be proud of in these two teams. Good job ladies.
