    By signing the with a juco I think there is not an Aug. 15 deadline

    It makes no difference if he goes to a JC or not for this years draft. He will not be able to sign this year if he does not sign by 8/15.

    If he goes the JC route he can be drafted again next year.

    Let's say that the Giants and Bumgarner are a half million apart on the signing bonus. It looks like they would be able to get it done before tommorow. The JC route is risky in my opinion.
