08 3B RHP Pratt Lee Maynard gave a verbal to NC State last night. I am so proud of my boy Pratt. He has grown up a big Pack fan and now he will get the opportunity that he has dreamed about. As soon as my son got off the phone with Coach Fox his first words were "What about Pratt"? "I cant be happy untill Pratt is". Well last night was a fun night at the May house. Great young man. Fierce competitor. Gritty as hell. I am so proud of Pratt and I am proud for South Granville and our whole community. The Wofpack got a stud.

Congrats to the young man and from a selfish point, I'm happy. The Pack needs some help in baseball.

I have heard so much about this young man. I hate the fact that I never saw him pitch. But from the things I've heard, NC State is mighty fortunate. They certainly can use some more quality arms.

Congratulations to Pratt is family...and for Coach May to give you his endorsement, you must be a quality young man as well. Good luck this season:cheer: :cheer:

NC State got a bona fide two way guy this week. I've never coached a more intense player. It's gonna be awesome to see him match up against May at UNC! Best friends living their dream!

    Pratt Maynard

Pratt gets alot of attention for his ability to pitch. And yes he is a very good pitcher. But the thing that really sets him apart is his hitting ability from the left side of the plate. He reminds alot of folks around here of a fine young man that went to Southern Durham and then NC State. Jeremy Dutton better known as JD. JD was drafted by the Mariners after his playing days at State. Pratt has tremendous power from the Left side. Pratt is one of those guys that will be very valuable with the new condensed schedule. He is a guy that can hit , defend and give you innings on the hill. He hit a ball at App State this weekend to CF that landed halfway up the trees. The kid is a tremendous hitter that is only going to continue to get better. He is big boy at 6'0 210.

NC State landed a fine player and a great kid in Pratt. I am just glad we wont have to face he nor Jeff after this year... When we arent playing them I love to watch Pratt, he is a fierce competitor and is, plain and simple, a winner... Best of luck to Pratt and his family!!

    Congrats

Congrats are in order again to the South Granville program and another quality player. I am sure we will again get to see plent of Pratt again this year. I had heard a lot about May, Maynard and Luck when we were starting our conference a few years ago. They all lived up to the hype. I wish the best for Pratt and all the Vikings this year, except of course when we are writing another great chapter in the conference rivalry.
