Don't forget about the eastern part of the state

Two Richmond County 08's to be on the look out for:
Corey Ayers 3B/P Corey has great power and is continuing to get stronger
Dustin Nelson P This kid has a nasty slider with a cut fastball---he is the kid that pitched all 12 innings for Richmond against Ashley last year in the playoffs.

    Andrew Wyant

Andrew Wyant - Fred T Foard HS - RHP and Hitter - The first thing you notice about his guy is his size. 6-4 and a great pitchers body. Tons of upside with this young man. I love his delivery its so fluid and he repeats it over and over again. He has great stuff running the fb up there in the mid 80's all day long and bumping upper 80's. He has great off speed stuff and knows how to pitch. He absolutely dominated at East Cobb against outstanding hitters for the Heat. Andrew is a very hard worker and a great student. He is an outstanding young man. Yes Sir , No Sir. And he loves the game. I truly believe he is going to be one of those guys that leaves HS known as a very good player but not one of those household type of names. And one day your going to hear about him making big noise in college and beyond. You can not teach what this guy has going for him. He will have a monster senior year. The kid can flat out hit as well. I saw him hit an absolute bomb at High Point in the Impact Games.

Villines (SS) is a very solid player from Riverside, good defender with a strong arm and solid glove. From what I remember he runs well and has the potential to be a very good player.

Jeremy Hall - 6'1 155 lbs, Smooth left-handed hitter and centerfielder. Big game player and an all-conference selection in his sophomore and junior seasons. Outstanding student, top 4 or 5 in his class. Plays Impact fall ball with North Carolina Baseball Academy.

Brett Underwood - 6'0 140 lbs, Rock-solid defensive shortstop who has a knack for getting basehits. Great range and really gets rid of the ball quickly. Good athlete, also plays basketball. Also a good student and plays for the North Carolina Baseball Academy.

Esterlin Paulino - 5'9 145 lbs, Left Handed Pitcher with nasty junk. Fastball sits in the lower 80's. Throws changeup, slider, and curveball all effectively. Good control and alot of movement on the fastball. Hard working kid.

Payne Craven - 6'1 180 lbs, Right Handed Pitcher and right-fielder. Is in the process of overcoming tommy john surgery but will be back pitching again this spring. Before injury fastball sat at 84-85 with a mean curve ball. Rehab is going great and surgery was done by Dr. Andrews.

    other 08 undisigned players

Edmund Gravely-6'4" 215 1B for Rocky Mount Academy. Had a hard summer (experienced 2 deaths in the family) and a hitting slump. Strong defensively and has shown a good hitting range. Patient at the plate and can hit the ball hard.
