a couple from the Winston area

Mt Tabor- Matt Batts- lefthanded pitcher that is dominant and also swings the bat well. (09)
Tyler Vogler good mid infielder and can swing it.

    West Forsyth-
Chris Sanders- great defensive catcher that swings the bat real well. started as a sophomore and junior. State Games region 5
Sammy Lucas- scrappy middle infielder that can play with anybody. Set the table kind of guy on offense, runs well.
Alex Robertson- good pitcher with command of 3 pitches. State Games

    North Davidson.
Zach White you all know about him
Clay Watson- may be the best PITCHER on their squad. competitor

East Forsyth - Tyler Hanover but youknow about him and he has committed to LSU

some of the guys you have mentioned some you have not.

Sanders and Lucas have been left off the list, but are great players that someone needs to look at:kwijl:

    Chris Sanders - West Forsyth

I finally got the chance to see Chris play this past weekend. He is a very good catcher. He sets up very nicely and is an excellent reciever. He hits with an open stance and has very a good approach at the plate. I really like the way he took care of business behind the dish. He is definitely a guy that can play at the next level.

    What about him?

Tell us about him. This thread is about talking about guys you have actually seen play that you believe are outstanding players. If you have seen the Robinson kid play please elaborate we would love to hear about him. I saw Farmer with the Copperheads. I have seen Bass many times with the DB's. I saw Horn at ECU in the Hurricanes Showcase. One things for sure if he threw in almost every game he got alot of work in.

I've played with him and against him... he's got great control doesnt really throw hard which is one of the reasons I believe hes havin trouble gettin looks, pretty dirty curve which he'll throw in any count and a decent change... kid competes and wants to win at everything... from what I was told he threw somewhere around 80 innings this year

i will have to agree with robertson, sanders and lucas. all are very good players that can play at the next level. they will be expected to be leaders and carry the load this year along with a few other seniors and upcoming juniors. (some that where mentioned in the 09 thread)

Sounds like someone from Florida was counting the MVP votes at Northern last year! I saw Brian Bass and Craig Farmer play last year hard to believe one of them did not win MVP. What position did Tyler Robinson play when not pitching?

    Well Coach May was right......

According to Impact Baseball, Casey Allison is now off the board and committed to Wingate University. Congrats go out to Casey and Norman. Between Casey and Matt Crump, they better have a big supply of baseballs or someone that can chase them a long way.
