METRO LEAGUE PARTICIPATION

Thanks Marty, I knew I could count on you to clear up some concerns

 

While researching options we found in the NCHSAA rules that no coach can be involved in organizing, managing or have any involvement with a team during the school year not to mention practice or play during the school year. Am. Legion (Jr. Am. Legion is not included) & Babe Ruth Baseball are grand fathered and exempt from that rule. Metro league is chartered, rostered, registered and insured as the "Metro Division" of the Clark Griffith Babe Ruth League which allows us to get started as soon as the high school season is finished. As more coaches learn about the Metro League and realize the benefits for their players and programs the advantage of getting started before mid June will be even more important.

We believe Metro League provides options and opportunities that others can’t. We’d like to have the support & input from the baseball community in order to help set our players up for success and help them achieve goals!

I really appreciate your taking the time to clarify things. In talking with different people I was hearing different versions (imagine that <g>). It think the league is a great idea and hope it prospers.

 

Just to further clarify, the Metro Leagus does play games on the weekend. As usual Marty and AL have thought out all the angles and this is for everyone.

 

Schedule - Can somebody share it?

I love watching baseball and would love to have a copy of the master schedule so I could pick and choose some games to go to. Marty or Derek is this available? Or can individual teams post their schedules?
